Pastor Lawrence Hubb

In a time of self-indulgence, idol worship, false teachers, tragedy, heartbreak, brokenness, and hopelessness, Lawrence Hubb dares to stand firm and declare God’s Word without compromise. He is a first-generation preacher, known for his God given ability to prophetically, profoundly, and practically proclaim the Gospel with charismatic vigor. He is unwavering in his Faith that God has sufficient power to change anyone, standing on Mark 9:23 which proclaims, “All things are possible to him that believes”! His focus is to be a living epistle, an example and testament to the life changing power of God; displaying the Love and compassion of Christ to all he encounters.

A native of Washington, DC, Lawrence began preaching the Gospel at the age of seventeen, licensed as an evangelist in 2009, Lawrence began his itinerant preaching ministry and was ordained in May 2013, becoming the youngest ordained minister in the History of the Temple of Praise Church to date. As a sought-after orator, Lawrence travels tirelessly preaching and teaching the truth found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In July 2019 Lawrence began serving in full-time ministry as the Campus Pastor of the New Life Center Inc. - Youth For Tomorrow and began planting the New Life Church - which is now a growing and thriving congregation- serving the mission of Youth For Tomorrow, on its 250 acre residential treatment center/campus in Bristow, Virginia.  The New Life Center provides residential treatment to at risk youth from destinations through the US and abroad; presenting the power of the gospel and needed rehabilitative services to lives that have been darkened by this world's most traumatic circumstances.

He holds a bachelor’s in psychology with honors from Bowie State University and earned a master’s with a 4.0 from Liberty University in Pastoral Counseling, with emphasis on Theology and Discipleship. Professionally he has served in therapeutic mental health services as a behavioral specialist, and later a Director of community based mental health services. His programs have served at risk youth and young adults with mental health/behavioral health disorders, and he remains a passionate advocate for children and families.

Lawrence is the husband of one wife, married to the love of his, life lady Nicole Hubb, who actively serves in ministry by his side. God has blessed their union with the gift of three children, King Langston, Lucas, and Lilliana. Above any other consideration of his life, he is a SAVED man of God; called as an ambassador of Jesus Christ, a defender of the faith and of His Church.
